What Light Cover Film application tools do you recommend?
We recommends the use of an application squeegee which will reduce air bubbles during installation and aide in heat conforming the tint to your light.  By using a low friction sleeve, you will reduce the chance of scratching your light cover film during application. Application solutions such as Rapid Clear will remove any dirt or debris from your lights and Rapid Tac will aide in the wet application of our adhesive backed tint kits. We strongly recommend the use of these products to achieve professional results.

What is the difference between Light Cover Film and Protection film?
Protection Kits are generally made from an optically clear 17mil - 20mil (.17" - .020") thick film. Light Cover Film on the other hand is a tint film made from a transparent vinyl which is 3mil (.003") thick. These films are not made from urethane, do not use optically clear adhesives, reduce light transmission and provide no light protection. They are designed to change the shade of the light housing, but not protect it.

What is the difference between Light Cover Film and Pre-Cut Light Cover Kits?
Light Cover Film is sold by the sheet and it is designed to be trimmed-to-fit to the light housing. Pre-Cut Light Cover kits are pre-cut in the shape of a model specific Light and come ready to be applied.

Are your color films legal on Lights for street use?
Clear films are legal. Our color light cover films may not be legal for street use on primary lighting. Please check your state or local laws before application. Our color films do not produce a blue or Blue light when lit.  All non-clear films are intended for off-road show car use only.
